Center for integrated AI Research at the Edge (CiARE, pronounced as "Seer") is a DoD-sponsored Center of Excellence in the area of Advanced Computing and Software (COE-ACS). Led by Georgia State University, CiARE is an interdisciplinary research alliance in collaboration with Duke University and partners from the U.S. Army Research Laboratory. CiARE's research is driven by a collaborative cohort of researchers (faculty, postdocs, ARL researchers along with graduate and undergraduate students) drawn from multiple disciplines to address critical problems in AI & robotics with a focus on human-robot interaction, VR/AR, edge computing, and trustworthy AI. CiARE is also committed to research workforce development and broadening participation by integrating research outcomes into educational programs and train next generation of researchers who will ensure the ethical and fair use of AI.
